Nepal GIS Mapping Demo

With the outstanding support of ESRI, a HumaniNet team led by Sue Gemmell is preparing a fully-functioning demo of the use of geographic information systems, or GIS, to support Exercise Khichadi and the Tech Day and training that precede it. Using ESRI's ArcGIS Server technology, the exercise teams will be able to download and print digital maps and view critical information over the Internet. All viewers will be able to view these dynamic maps throughout the exercise.

Please check back soon to view a demo map of the Kathmandu Valley.

This project supports the Maps 2.0 initiative, a collaboration with Aspiration, Mercy Corps, and other nonprofit partners which seeks to identify GIS tools that will make current maps and information available to disaster relief teams. Also see our Maps 2.0 team blog.
