World Vision Tour: The True Spirit of Christmas

The HumaniNet Maps 2.0 team is pleased to support World Vision’s True Spirit of Christmas world tour with an interactive map, which our volunteers are updating as the World Vision team travels to Ecuador, Cambodia, Zambia, and Ethiopia. Volunteers Joe Ludwig and Matt Blair have, among other features, embedded video from the tour locations into the Google Map.

Thanks to a hardware donation from Vizada, HumaniNet was able to provide the World Vision team with two Sabre BGANs which are being used to send videos, photographs, posts and messages back from the tour locations. See the tour post A Helping Hand from HumaniNet.”

For a closer look at tour activity in each country, please go to our larger map, click on any Tour Stop icon or indexed location, and select "Zoom Here" at the bottom of the balloon.

For other HumaniNet maps, see below.

You may also check out our Google Map of West Sumatra created after the recent earthquake by Matt Blair and updated by a volunteer team.

And you can read about our experience with Google Maps and Google Earth during two field simulation exercises in the last year:
