How You Can Help

If you are interested in this project, here are some of the ways you can help:
Provide your experiences
Both of these projects are user-centered from start to finish. We
are very eager to hear about your experiences with online collaboration
systems in resource-scarce environments. What has worked
well? What drives you crazy about using the web over a slow
connection from the field? What challenges have you discovered in
sharing information from and getting information to the field? We
want input and ideas from a variety of perspectives: relief
workers
with intensive field experience, headquaters-based project managers, technical staff, systems
administrators, interaction designers, and anyone in-between.
Be a Tester
We are already operating an alpha version of our community center,
based on Plone 2.0.5, and are
planning to launch a beta based on Plone 2.1 in the next 4 - 6
weeks. We will be launching a prototype of the project center
template at roughly the same time. We need testers to try it out, compare it to their
past experiences, determine whether it would work for their organizations, and tell us how
we can make it better.
Work on the Plone/Zope/CSS Wishlist
Unfortunately, we don't have enough money in our budget to offer
bounties. Sorry! We do have a wishlist of features and enhancements
that we need help from smart people to implement. We would
appreciate any
technical expertise and assistance you can provide. (List coming soon)
