Palm PDA Hardware (Palm OS)

Tungsten E
The Tungsten E is PalmOne’s basic enterprise focused PDA. Tungsten E has a 126 Mhz processor, 32 Mb memory and a sharp 320x320 16 bit color display. Tungsten E comes bundled with business focused applications that if purchased separately would cost half the price of the PDA.

Treo 600
The PalmOne Treo 600 is a voice and data communicator or smartphone. The Treo runs thousands of Palm OS applications. The Treo 600 has a 2” diagonal display. The Treo 600 is available in GSM/GPRS and CDMA versions and is available from a variety of carriers.

Zire 72
The Zire 72 PalmOne’s multimedia focused PDA with an integrated 1.2 mega pixel camera. The Zire72 has a 312 Mhz processor and sharp 320x320 16 bit color display. Networking options for the Zire 72 include integrated bluetooth.

Pocket PC PDA Hardware (Microsoft Mobile 2003 OS)

HP Ipaq 4350
The HP 4350 is the first HP Ipaq PDA with an integrated keyboard. The HP 4350 has a 400 Mhz Xscale processor, 64 Mb memory and integrated 802.11b wireless. The HP 4350 is bundled with many business-focused applications.

HP Ipaq 4705
The HP 4705 PDA has a 4” diagonal sharp 480x640 resolution display (VGA). The HP 4705 has a 624 MHz processor, CF and SD expansion card ports and runs Windows 2003 Second Edition (SE). The 2003 SE OS allows the display to be shown in either portrait and landscape modes. The integrated WiFi wireless is compatible with 802.1x, WPA and Cisco’s CCX 1.0 security standards.

HP Ipaq 6315
The HP Ipaq 6315 is a voice and data communicator or smartphone. The HP 6315 run thousands of Pocket PC OS applications. The HP 6315 has a 3.5” diagonal display. The HP 6315 has bluetooth and integrated WiFi wireless that is compatible with WPA and 802.1x security standards. The HP 4705 is available in a GSM/GPRS version.

NEC Mobilepro 900C
The NEC Mobilepro 900C is a larger version of prior clamshell PDA’s like the HP Jornada. The NEC 900C has a 8.1” diagonal display which is about three times larger than a normal PDA’s display. The integrated keyboard is 92% the size of a regular desktop keyboard. The NEC 900C is about 5” wide by 10” long and weighs 1.8 pounds.

Tablet PC’s (Microsoft XP Windows Tablet PC)

Compaq TC1100
The HP 1100 convertible tablet pc uses an Intel Centrino processor, 10.8” diagonal display and an integrated keyboard The HP 1100 tablet weighs about 3.1 pounds. HP has an inexpensive optional semi-ruggedized heavy plastic field case.

Panasonic W2
Panasonic W2 is an Intel Centrino-powered 2.8 pound ultralight notebook. The W2 has an aluminum alloy case and shock mounted hard disk. The W2 has an integrated DVD/CDRW drive, integrated wireless and an estimated 5.5 hour battery life.

8.4” Xybernaut Atigo T
The Xybernaut Atigo T is a semi-ruggedized web pad with a 8.4” touch screen enabled daylight readible diagonal display. The Atigo T has a 1 Ghz processor, 256 Mb SRAM and PC card, CF and USB ports. The Atigo T has integrated WiFi wireless that is compatible with 802.1x and runs the Windows XP embedded operating system.
